Lake Charles, LA (January 18, 2026) – A multi-vehicle crash on I-210 resulted in four people being injured on Saturday afternoon, causing major traffic disruptions in both directions. The incident occurred near Holly Hill and involved five vehicles, including one that reportedly overturned during the collision.
According to Sgt. John Russell of the Lake Charles Police Department, the crash began when a vehicle traveling westbound crossed the median for unknown reasons. That vehicle struck one car in the opposite lane before continuing to collide with several others in the eastbound lanes. At least one of the vehicles came to rest upside down.
Emergency crews responded swiftly to the chaotic scene and provided treatment to multiple injured individuals. Four people were transported to a nearby hospital with what authorities described as minor injuries. Their current conditions have not been released.
Traffic on I-210 was brought to a standstill for approximately an hour as officers closed both lanes to allow responders to access the scene and remove damaged vehicles. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and officials have not yet released further information about the drivers or potential contributing factors.
