Douglas County, KS (January 18, 2026) – A 19-year-old Kentucky man was injured on Friday night in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 70 after being struck by an SUV while standing outside his vehicle.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred at approximately 10:50 p.m. on January 16. The pedestrian, identified as Randy Agee, had exited his vehicle to inspect damage from a prior accident when he was hit by a white SUV. The driver of the SUV did not stop and fled the scene immediately after the impact.
Emergency responders transported Agee to a nearby hospital for treatment of possible injuries. His current condition has not been made public.
Authorities are continuing their search for the driver of the SUV and urge anyone with information about the vehicle involved to come forward.
