Dayton, OH (January 19, 2026) – Four individuals were injured following a two-vehicle accident at a downtown Dayton intersection on Saturday night, drawing emergency personnel to the scene for medical assistance and traffic control.
The collision occurred at approximately 9:10 p.m. on January 17 at the intersection of N Keowee St and E First St. According to reports from Dayton Police, the accident involved two SUVs — a 2022 white Nissan Pathfinder and a 2021 gray Chevrolet Trailblazer. The Pathfinder, driven by a 31-year-old woman, had been traveling northbound on Keowee St when it collided with the Trailblazer, which was heading east on E First St under the control of an 18-year-old male driver.
Emergency medical teams responded promptly, assessing the scene and assisting the injured. Medics transported both the driver and a passenger from the Pathfinder to a nearby hospital. Similarly, the driver and passenger of the Trailblazer were also taken to a local medical facility. All four individuals sustained minor injuries, according to the official crash report.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision. Both drivers reportedly claimed that the other ran a red light before the crash, leaving investigators to sort through conflicting accounts and gather any available evidence.
Traffic at the intersection was temporarily impacted while crews worked to clear the vehicles and assess the scene. At this time, no citations or charges have been announced.
