Chattanooga, TN (January 19, 2026) – First responders, including paramedics, assessed and treated individuals hurt in a traffic collision that occurred Sunday afternoon in Chattanooga’s Ridgedale neighborhood.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. on January 18 at the intersection of Central Ave and E 23rd St, a well-traveled area known for its steady flow of cross-town traffic. According to initial reports, the collision involved multiple vehicles and led to a prompt emergency response from Chattanooga Fire and Rescue, along with emergency medical services.
Several individuals were evaluated at the scene for a variety of injuries. Officials have not released the total number of injured victims or whether any were transported to nearby medical facilities for additional care. The intersection was partially blocked while crews worked to assist those involved and clear the roadway.
