Mesa, AZ (January 19, 2026) – A pedestrian sustained injuries on Saturday evening after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of W 8th Ave and S Date in Mesa, according to early dispatch information.
The incident took place around 7:34 p.m. on January 17. Emergency personnel were dispatched following reports of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the residential area just west of downtown Mesa.
First responders arrived on scene to find a single vehicle involved in the incident. Initial reports suggested that the pedestrian was injured, though the severity of those injuries has not yet been officially released.
Crews worked quickly to assess the pedestrian’s condition and provide necessary medical care. It is not yet clear whether the victim was transported to a hospital or treated on scene. Authorities have not indicated whether the driver remained at the scene or if any citations were issued.
