Chula Vista, CA (January 19, 2026) – A 19-year-old male sustained injuries in a low-speed traffic accident near a four-way intersection by Sharp Chula Vista Hospital on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Medical Center Ct.
According to dispatch audio, the young driver was struck by another vehicle that reportedly ran a red light. The impact caused airbag deployment in the victim’s vehicle, leading to minor injuries, including a nosebleed and neck pain. The individual was wearing a seatbelt, remained conscious throughout, and was transported to the hospital in stable condition for further evaluation. No major trauma was reported.
