San Diego, CA (January 19, 2026) – A traffic collision near Zion Ave on Sunday night left one driver injured after their vehicle was struck on the driver’s side, according to information gathered from emergency dispatch audio.

The incident occurred around 9:47 p.m. in the San Diego area. Reports indicated that the driver was restrained at the time of the crash and was able to exit the vehicle without assistance. There were no signs of loss of consciousness.

Medics with Chula Vista Medic 57 responded to the scene and transported the individual to Kaiser Zion for evaluation. The driver was reportedly experiencing pain in the right wrist.

Details about the other vehicle involved or the cause of the crash have not been released. Officials are continuing to assess the incident and determine any contributing factors.
