La Jolla, CA (January 19, 2026) – A 61-year-old man sustained a head injury after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Genesee Ave late Saturday night, according to dispatch-based reports.

The incident occurred around 10:55 p.m. on January 17 in the La Jolla area. Emergency crews arrived to find the pedestrian alert and conscious, though signs of intoxication were noted. The man had reportedly been hit by a vehicle—possibly a Tesla—while crossing the street.
