Los Angeles, CA (January 20, 2026) – A severe traffic collision involving a pedestrian was reported late Sunday night near the intersection of South Olive St and West 111th Pl in Los Angeles, resulting in what may be a fatal injury.
The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m., when a male pedestrian, estimated to be around 30 years old, was struck by a vehicle. According to emergency dispatch reports, the victim was found unconscious and not breathing upon the arrival of first responders.
Police quickly shut down the northbound lanes of South Olive St to secure the scene and allow emergency crews space to operate. Additional support units and a canopy were requested, indicating the gravity of the situation. While the final outcome has not yet been officially confirmed, the nature of the response suggests the injuries were extremely serious, if not fatal.
