Dayton, OH (January 21, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident near Basore Rd in Dayton left both drivers injured on Monday afternoon, prompting a swift response from emergency personnel.
The incident occurred around 4:29 p.m. in the area of Basore Rd near Bayshore Dr and Shiloh Springs Rd. According to initial dispatch information, the crash involved a Chevrolet Trailblazer and a Ford Mustang. Early confusion suggested a possible pedestrian was struck, but responders later confirmed the collision only involved the two vehicles.
Medics treated both drivers at the scene. One suffered a reported head injury and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The second driver also sustained injuries, though the severity was not immediately disclosed. Both were conscious during transport, and no fatalities were reported.
Roads in the surrounding area were temporarily closed to allow emergency responders to assist the injured and clear the scene. The vehicles were significantly damaged, leading to a prolonged recovery operation.
