Valley Mills, TX (January 21, 2026) – A police-involved crash resulted in injuries early Tuesday morning at the intersection of Highway 6 and FM 185, involving a Valley Mills patrol vehicle and two other vehicles.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred around 6:50 a.m. when a Valley Mills police unit collided with the rear of a Ford Expedition. The force of the impact pushed the Ford into a Chevrolet Silverado ahead of it. Both the driver and passenger of the Ford sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not yet been disclosed.
First responders arrived promptly at the scene to provide medical care and manage the flow of traffic through the affected area. The presence of a law enforcement vehicle in the crash added complexity to the investigation, which remains active and ongoing under the direction of DPS.
Valley Mills Police Chief Michael Hamilton confirmed that further updates will be shared as more information becomes available. Officials have not released the identities of those involved.
