Clay, MO (January 21, 2026) – An elderly pedestrian suffered serious injuries on Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on Endicott Rd in Clay County, just outside of Kearney.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. on January 20. A 2022 Ford Expedition Max, driven by a 39-year-old woman from Kearney, was traveling south along Endicott Rd when it struck an 81-year-old male pedestrian who was standing near the edge of the roadway.
Emergency medical personnel responded promptly, providing on-scene treatment before transporting the injured man by EMS to Liberty Hospital. Authorities classified his injuries as serious. The driver of the Ford was reportedly wearing a seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries. Her vehicle had minor damage and was driven from the scene.
Trooper C.N. Norris led the investigation, assisted by M.J. Saladrigas and deputies from the Clay County Sheriff’s Department. Officials are working to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision.
