Columbia, SC (January 21, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash near Richland Medical Park Dr resulted in injuries on Tuesday afternoon, with emergency crews transporting both drivers to receive further medical evaluation.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Frayed and Amatro, not far from Richland Medical Park, at approximately 3:46 p.m. According to emergency radio communications, both individuals involved were in separate vehicles at the time of the collision. At least one of the vehicles sustained moderate front-end damage, and airbags were deployed upon impact.
One of the patients, a 26-year-old female, was evaluated by medics and reported pain in the right rib area, the right side of her abdomen, left arm, and both knees. Despite the discomfort, there were no signs of swelling, deformity, or respiratory compromise, and she remained alert and oriented throughout the assessment. Vital signs were reported as stable, and her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
EMS crews provided on-site care and transported both patients to the Richland Emergency Room for further treatment and monitoring. The extent of injuries for the second individual has not been disclosed at this time.
