Pawling, NY (January 22, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident with reported injuries on Thursday afternoon in front of the Dollar General located at 31 Route 22 in Pawling.
The crash occurred along the busy commercial stretch of Route 22 and involved two passenger vehicles. First responders arrived quickly to assess the scene and began providing medical care to at least one injured individual. Paramedics evaluated those involved, and one or more parties were expected to be transported for further treatment. The extent of the injuries has not yet been officially disclosed.
The collision caused temporary disruptions to traffic in the area, as fire and EMS crews worked to manage the crash site and safely clear the damaged vehicles from the roadway. The Dollar General entrance remained partially blocked as authorities conducted their initial investigation.
Law enforcement is continuing to review the cause of the crash. Traffic volume and turning activity in and out of the retail plaza may be considered factors as part of the ongoing assessment.
