Albany, NY (January 22, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a traffic accident with reported injuries on Wednesday in Albany’s University District. The crash occurred along the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 near the Fuller Rd interchange, an area heavily traveled by both students and commuters.
First responders arrived promptly and provided medical assistance to individuals involved. At least one person sustained injuries and was evaluated by paramedics at the scene. The extent of those injuries has not yet been made public.
Traffic in the area was disrupted as emergency vehicles blocked portions of the highway during the response. Crews worked to stabilize the scene, treat the injured, and remove the damaged vehicles.
