Beaverdam, OH (January 22, 2026) – A semi truck veered off U.S. Route 30 and slammed into a residence along N Dixie Hwy on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in injuries to three individuals, according to local emergency officials.
The accident occurred just after 3:00 p.m. near the 6000 block of N Dixie Hwy in the Beaverdam area. Beaverdam-Richland Fire and Rescue units were dispatched following reports of a large commercial vehicle crashing into the side of a two-story home. Upon arrival, responders discovered significant structural damage to the residence and immediately began assessing the injured.
Two individuals inside the home at the time of the collision sustained injuries and were transported to Saint Rita’s Medical Center. The driver of the semi truck was also hurt and taken to Lima Memorial Health System. Officials have stated that all three victims are expected to recover, as their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Crews remained at the scene to evaluate the structural safety of the home and assist in removing the truck. As of Thursday morning, the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not yet released information on what may have led to the vehicle leaving the roadway.
