Cincinnati, OH (January 22, 2026) – A tragic traffic accident early on Tuesday morning on Bellevue Ave in Cincinnati resulted in one fatality and left another individual hospitalized. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at approximately 12:42 a.m. following reports of a serious collision.
Firefighters arrived to find two individuals trapped in the wreckage. Both were extricated from their vehicles after a coordinated rescue effort. One person was rushed to UC Medical Center with injuries that required immediate treatment. Sadly, the other victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Details regarding the number of vehicles involved and the circumstances leading up to the crash have not yet been released. The severity of the impact prompted a full-scale emergency response and a temporary closure of the roadway to allow for investigation and cleanup.
Cincinnati police are actively investigating the incident to determine the cause and contributing factors behind the fatal collision. Bellevue Ave remained closed for several hours as accident reconstruction teams worked at the scene.
