Oakland, CA (January 22, 2026) – A 68-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle near East 31st St in Oakland on the morning of January 21, resulting in a trauma-level response and transport to Highland Hospital for treatment.
According to emergency responders, the woman was hit by a vehicle traveling approximately 25 miles per hour. She sustained a visible deformity to her left ankle and reported pain along the left side of her back. Paramedics confirmed that she remained conscious, alert, and oriented at the scene.
Her vital signs remained stable during transport, and medics administered pain relief and anti-nausea treatment en route. No loss of consciousness was reported, and her injuries, while painful, were not considered life-threatening.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. It has not been confirmed whether the driver remained on scene or if any citations have been issued.
