Oakland, CA (January 22, 2026) – A 68-year-old woman was transported to Highland Hospital following a multi-vehicle collision on the freeway near East 31st St in Oakland early on January 21. The crash occurred while the woman was driving at highway speed and involved impacts on both sides of her vehicle.
According to paramedics, the woman was struck on the passenger side by another vehicle and then collided with a second vehicle on her driver’s side. The airbags deployed during the crash, and although she was wearing a seatbelt, she struck her head on the steering wheel. She did not lose consciousness and remained alert and oriented with a GCS score of 15.
The patient, a Spanish-speaking female, complained of midline neck and head pain, along with tingling in both her arms and legs. Medical personnel monitored her condition en route and reported stable vital signs throughout transport.
