Osceola County, FL (January 23, 2026) – A multi-vehicle accident brought traffic to a standstill on Thursday on Florida’s Turnpike northbound near mile marker 246, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash, which involved a Hyundai Santa Fe, Chevrolet Silverado, Chevrolet Trax, and an Audi TTS, occurred during the day and prompted a full shutdown of all northbound lanes in the affected area. Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene to assess the crash and manage the extensive traffic buildup. Tow-truck crews were called in to remove the vehicles and assist in clearing the roadway. After a temporary closure, all lanes were reopened, and traffic gradually returned to normal.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation. Authorities have not yet released details about what may have caused the incident or whether any citations will be issued.
Despite the lack of serious injuries, the accident created major delays for commuters traveling through Osceola County, highlighting the risk of high-volume traffic zones on major state routes.
We’re grateful there were no severe injuries in this multi-vehicle collision and hope everyone involved recovers quickly from the experience.
