Summerfield, FL (January 23, 2026) – A 44-year-old woman from Summerfield tragically died Thursday night after overturning her vehicle and striking a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. as the woman was traveling north on Southeast 47th Avenue. Troopers say she was driving over a hill when she lost control of the vehicle, which then overturned and collided with a tree.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries.
FHP has not released the woman’s name as the investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing. Authorities are working to determine what led to the loss of control.
