Detroit, MI (January 23, 2026) – A traffic accident near Schoolcraft Rd and Winthrop St early on Thursday morning led to reported injuries and property damage, including a leaning light pole at the scene.
The incident occurred around 12:48 a.m. on January 22. Emergency crews responded to the intersection following reports of a crash possibly involving injuries. Upon arrival, responders noted structural damage to a nearby light pole, which was left leaning as a result of the impact.
While the number and severity of injuries were not immediately confirmed, medical personnel were on scene evaluating those involved in the crash. The collision prompted a partial disruption of traffic in the area as crews worked to manage the scene and mitigate hazards caused by the damaged pole.
