Harvey, LA (January 23, 2026) – Emergency crews were dispatched on Thursday night, January 22, to a reported traffic accident with injuries near the intersection of Manhattan Blvd and 12th St in Harvey.
The incident was initially flagged through an OnStar crash notification involving a silver Chevy Blazer. According to dispatch audio, the system alert also indicated an altercation could be heard in the background, involving a female at the scene.
Engine 626 and Squad 649 responded to the location to assess the situation and assist any injured parties. Officials have not yet released information regarding the number of individuals hurt or the extent of the injuries. The presence of a disturbance at the scene added urgency to the response.
Traffic in the area may have been impacted as crews worked to manage the scene and ensure the safety of all involved. The cause of the collision and the nature of the altercation remain under investigation.
