Jersey City, NJ (January 23, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision with injuries was reported on Thursday morning at the intersection of Chapel Avenue and Half Moon Isle in Jersey City. The crash occurred around 9:40 a.m. and involved a black Hyundai and a black Subaru.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported and began providing medical assistance. At least one person sustained a back injury as a result of the crash. Paramedics evaluated the injured party on-site, and further medical treatment may have been administered depending on the severity of the injury.
Traffic was temporarily disrupted near the end of Half Moon Isle as authorities worked to manage the scene and remove the damaged vehicles. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Jersey City officials have not released further details at this time regarding other possible injuries or contributing factors.
