Garden Grove, CA (January 24, 2026) – An accident involving injuries occurred Friday evening on the westbound side of State Route 22 just east of Harbor Blvd in Garden Grove. The crash was reported at approximately 6:19 p.m. on January 23, prompting a response from emergency crews in Orange County.
Paramedics and fire units from Garden Grove Fire and Rescue arrived on scene and worked quickly to assist individuals injured in the collision. At least one vehicle was involved in the crash, and several victims sustained a variety of injuries. Those hurt were assessed at the scene, with some transported to nearby hospitals for further care. The exact number of people injured has not yet been released.
The crash occurred during a busy travel window along the 22 Freeway, a key corridor through Orange County. The incident caused temporary lane closures and slowed westbound traffic as crews responded and worked to clear the area.
