Akron, OH (January 24, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a vehicle collision with reported injuries at the intersection of Melrose Ave and Ontario St on January 24. The crash occurred just before 4:40 p.m. and prompted a response from Akron police and EMS.
Upon arrival, first responders located at least one vehicle with visible damage and began assessing individuals involved in the incident. Paramedics confirmed that injuries were sustained, and care was provided on scene. It is not yet known how many people were hurt or if transport to a medical facility was required.
Traffic through the intersection was temporarily disrupted as crews worked to assist victims and investigate the cause of the crash. Police remained on-site to gather information and ensure the roadway was cleared safely.
