Grand Rapids, MI (January 24, 2026) – Multiple emergency units responded to a serious crash requiring extrication on January 23 along westbound I-196, just east of the Lake Michigan Dr interchange. Dispatchers classified the incident as a “med zero” crash, indicating significant injuries and the need for rapid medical attention. First responders arrived to find at least one individual trapped in a vehicle, requiring specialized tools and coordinated efforts to safely remove them from the wreckage.
