Douglas County, MO (January 24, 2026) – A single-vehicle crash on January 22 along County Road 445, approximately 4.5 miles southwest of Goodhope, left two Ava residents injured. The collision occurred around 6:45 p.m. and involved a northbound 1995 Buick Century that veered off the road and struck a tree.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. The 55-year-old male driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross the road, leave the left side, and collide with a tree.
