Thurston County, WA (January 24, 2026) – A serious head-on collision involving two vehicles occurred on January 20 in the 9400 block of Hwy 12, prompting emergency crews to shut down a portion of the highway and transport two individuals to the hospital with serious injuries.
The crash was reported around 4:16 p.m. and was described as blocking traffic in both directions. In response, authorities closed Hwy 12 between 183rd Ave and Larry’s Ln to allow paramedics and law enforcement to safely manage the scene and provide aid.
Both drivers sustained significant injuries and were transported by medical personnel to a nearby hospital for further treatment. No additional information has been released regarding their conditions at this time.
