Omaha, NE (January 24, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched to the area of South 17th Street near the Union Pacific rail lines following a reported personal injury incident (PIA) shortly after 7:25 PM. According to dispatch audio, Union Pacific personnel requested police assistance to help clear the tracks as operations wrapped up at the scene.
While details remain unconfirmed, earlier related reports suggest the incident may have involved a pedestrian struck by a train, possibly resulting in a serious arm injury. Multiple emergency units, including medical and police responders, were deployed to manage the scene.
