Omaha, NE (January 25, 2026) – An elderly woman sustained injuries after a vehicle struck the side of her home near South 19th Street on Friday morning, sending debris flying into her living room.
The incident happened on January 23 while the woman was inside her residence. According to emergency medical communications, the impact damaged a corner of the house and caused flying debris that resulted in a laceration to the woman’s lower right leg. Fortunately, no structural material fell on her, and responders confirmed that she did not lose consciousness or sustain head trauma.
Paramedics from Medic 31 evaluated the woman at the scene. She remained alert and oriented with a Glasgow Coma Score of 15 and was transported under Code 2 for treatment. The leg injury appeared isolated and non-life-threatening, though it required bleeding control and may need minor stitching.
