Glendale, AZ (January 25, 2026) — A man was killed and another seriously injured in a head-on collision early Friday morning in Glendale. The crash occurred just before 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of 51st Ave and Peoria Ave, prompting a swift response from local emergency crews.
According to the Glendale Police Department, the crash involved a sedan and an SUV. One of the individuals involved was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Despite the severity of his injuries, the surviving victim is expected to recover.
Authorities have shut down the entire intersection as the investigation continues and crews work to clear the debris. The closure is anticipated to last several hours, impacting morning traffic through the area.
