Pekin, NY (January 25, 2026) – Injuries were reported on Saturday following a two-car accident at the intersection of Saunders Settlement Rd and Shawnee Rd in Niagara County, according to officials with the Pekin Fire Department.
Crews were dispatched to the scene in the afternoon hours, where they encountered two vehicles with moderate to heavy damage resulting from a collision under active investigation. Emergency medical personnel began evaluating and assisting the occupants of both vehicles upon arrival.
Several individuals sustained injuries in the crash. Paramedics provided on-site treatment, and at least one person was transported to a nearby medical facility for additional care. The exact number of injured parties and the severity of their injuries have not been confirmed at this time.
First responders temporarily restricted traffic flow through the intersection to ensure safe access for rescue personnel and to clear the debris from the roadway.
