Tigard, OR (January 25, 2026) – A serious multi-vehicle crash involving three cars shut down a portion of Highway 217 South in Tigard for over an hour on Saturday evening, according to local authorities.
The accident occurred just before 6:00 p.m. on January 24 near the exit for SW Hall Blvd. Responding officers from the Tigard Police Department reported that one of the vehicles involved caught fire in the center lane, prompting immediate closures between SW Greenburg Rd and SW Pacific Hwy.
Emergency responders worked quickly to extinguish the flames and assist those injured in the crash. Several individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Fortunately, police noted that all injured parties are expected to recover.
The highway remained closed for approximately 90 minutes while crews cleared the scene and investigators documented evidence. The cause of the crash is under active investigation.
