Louisville, KY (January 25, 2026) – An accident involving a pickup truck and a sedan caused injuries and prompted a multi-unit emergency response on Saturday evening on I-71 northbound near the Angler Lane overpass in Louisville.
The crash occurred on January 24 around 7:19 p.m. near the 10.5 mile marker of I-71. Engine 37 and multiple units, including Battalion 38 and Quint 38, were dispatched to the scene. The collision involved a Ford F-250 and a sedan, which came to rest on the right-hand side of the roadway.
Due to highway safety concerns, command instructed responding crews to stage on Brownsboro Rd rather than committing directly to the interstate. First responders assessed the scene and confirmed that injuries had occurred, although further details about the condition of the occupants have not yet been released.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. Visibility issues or other contributing factors remain under review as part of the ongoing assessment.
