Detroit, MI (January 27, 2026) – Emergency crews were called to the scene of a traffic accident involving injuries Monday afternoon at the intersection of Eight Mile Rd (M-102) and Alcoy Ave in Detroit.
The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m., according to dispatch audio, and involved at least one vehicle collision with reports of possible injuries. Responding units assessed the scene and provided medical attention to those involved, though the exact number of individuals hurt or the severity of injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Police were also requested at the intersection to assist with scene management and help direct traffic while the roadway was partially blocked. The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation, and no official cause has been disclosed at this time.
