Indianapolis, IN (January 27, 2026) – A woman was hospitalized following a head-on collision that occurred on January 26 near S Emerson Ave in Indianapolis. Emergency crews transported the victim to Franciscan Health South’s trauma center for further evaluation.
According to medics, the vehicle was traveling at approximately 25 to 30 miles per hour at the time of the impact. The woman, who was fully restrained, experienced airbag deployment during the collision. Although she remained alert and stable, she reported burning and aching pain in her lower abdomen, prompting concern from first responders.
No additional passengers or vehicles were mentioned, and no signs of external trauma or bleeding were observed. Medical personnel monitored her vitals en route, noting that she was responsive and in generally stable condition upon arrival at the hospital.
