Los Angeles, CA (January 28, 2026) – A person riding a bicycle was injured Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle at a busy South Los Angeles intersection, prompting a rapid emergency response.
The collision occurred around 8:49 p.m. near E Gage Ave and S Central Ave. According to initial reports, a car collided with a bicyclist under circumstances that remain under investigation. The impact left the cyclist injured and down on the roadway.
Emergency responders from Los Angeles Fire Department provided immediate care to the injured rider, who was later transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The extent of the injuries has not yet been released, though the individual was reported to be conscious when help arrived.
