Anaheim, CA (January 28, 2026) – Authorities have identified the pregnant woman tragically killed in a DUI crash early Sunday morning as 24-year-old Bianca Esquivel, according to her family.
The fatal collision took place around 12:09 a.m. on January 25 near Anaheim Blvd and the on-ramp to the 91 Freeway. Investigators say 24-year-old Daniel Ramos was behind the wheel of a gray Lexus sedan when he ran a red light and crashed into a white Toyota Camry.
Esquivel was riding in the front passenger seat of the Camry and sustained fatal injuries. She was pregnant with her second child and leaves behind a 4-year-old son. Her family has since launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral expenses.
Oscar, Esquivel’s boyfriend and the driver of the Camry, remains hospitalized with serious injuries. Ramos and his two passengers were also injured but are expected to recover. Ramos was later arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter. Authorities indicated that additional charges may be considered due to Esquivel’s pregnancy.
The Anaheim Police Department is continuing its investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
