South Bend, IN (January 28, 2026) – A motor vehicle accident with reported injuries occurred on January 27 at the intersection of West Sample St and South Walnut St in South Bend. The crash was reported at approximately 4:25 p.m. and prompted a response from multiple fire and EMS units.

South Bend Engine 5, Medic 1661, and Medic 2 were among those dispatched to assist. At least one person was evaluated for injuries at the scene, although officials have not yet released details regarding the severity or number of individuals involved.
