Colorado Springs, CO (January 28, 2026) – A law enforcement pursuit on I-25 North led to a collision involving a Colorado State Patrol vehicle and a white Hummer near the 123 northbound off-ramp early Tuesday morning. The incident resulted in at least one reported injury and temporarily disrupted traffic as emergency responders secured the scene.
According to dispatch audio, the pursuit began in response to a silver Honda reportedly traveling the wrong way near Mile Marker 112 before heading northbound at high speed. The crash occurred near the 123 ramp and involved a trooper’s SUV and another vehicle. Emergency medical services were dispatched after it was confirmed that one person required treatment.
Authorities stated that the vehicle involved in the pursuit fled the scene and continued northbound. While officers attempted to track the suspect using traffic cameras and road units, the pursuit vehicle managed to elude immediate capture. The injured party was treated on-site, though the extent of their injuries has not yet been released.
The northbound lanes near Mile Marker 123 experienced delays as investigators responded to the crash and searched for the fleeing driver. Law enforcement is continuing its investigation and has not yet released information regarding pending charges or the suspect’s identity.
