Ray Co, MO (January 29, 2026) – An early morning collision involving two vehicles on MO-13 just west of 116th St left one driver injured and caused major damage to both vehicles, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred around 5:50 a.m. on Wednesday when a southbound 2016 Ford F-150, driven by an 82-year-old male from Richmond, reportedly crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2013 Ford Edge. The impact resulted in the Ford F-150 being totaled and the Edge sustaining extensive front-end damage.
Responding agencies, including the Ray County Sheriff’s Department and emergency medical services, arrived quickly at the scene. The 82-year-old driver of the F-150 sustained injuries and was transported by Ray County Ambulance to Liberty Hospital for further treatment. The other driver, a 19-year-old female from Bayard, NE, was evaluated at the scene and reported no serious injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the site by Green’s Towing as troopers worked to clear the roadway. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine what caused the F-150 to veer into oncoming traffic. Roadway conditions at the time were not reported to be hazardous.
