Ralls, MO (January 29, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle accident early on Wednesday morning in Ralls County left one driver hospitalized with major injuries following a rear-end collision on US 61 near Kingsville Ln.
The incident occurred around 4:50 a.m., when a 2003 Ford F-150 traveling southbound reportedly failed to yield and struck the rear of a 2002 Ford F-250, also heading south. The force of the impact resulted in severe damage to the F-150, which had to be towed from the scene by Heartland services. The F-250 sustained minor damage and was driven away after the incident.
First responders from Ralls County Fire Department and Ralls County Sheriff’s Office quickly converged on the crash site. Paramedics with Ralls County Ambulance provided immediate aid to the 38-year-old male driver of the F-150, who suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital for further treatment. The other driver, a 27-year-old male from New London, was wearing a safety belt and was not seriously hurt.
Life Flight 3 was placed on standby as part of the emergency response, reflecting the severity of the incident. Investigators with Troop B of the Missouri State Highway Patrol continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the reported failure to yield by the F-150 driver.
