San Jacinto, CA (January 29, 2026) – A 58-year-old woman from Hemet tragically lost her life Tuesday morning in a two-car collision at the intersection of Warren Rd and Ramona Expressway in San Jacinto, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The fatal accident occurred around 10:05 a.m. on January 27. Deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to the scene, where they found one of the drivers unresponsive following the collision.
Emergency medical crews quickly transported the woman to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, she was pronounced deceased. Authorities later identified her as Latrenda Mitchell, a Hemet resident.
The other driver involved in the crash remained on scene and did not report any injuries. Investigators have not released information on how the crash occurred or whether any contributing factors such as impairment, distraction, or speeding may have played a role.
No citations or arrests have been reported, and the investigation remains ongoing.
