Indianapolis, IN (January 29, 2026) – A 52-year-old man was injured in a two-vehicle collision near Eskenazi Ave in the early hours of January 29. The crash involved an SUV that was T-boned on the passenger side, causing significant intrusion and triggering a medical response.
The man, who was the restrained driver of the SUV, sustained facial lacerations and was transported to Eskenazi Hospital for further care. Emergency medics reported that the damage to the vehicle’s side exceeded one foot of intrusion. Despite the severity of the impact, the driver remained conscious and alert at the scene, with no signs of loss of consciousness or internal injuries reported.
He was fitted with a C-collar and transported in stable condition. Vital signs were normal, and the patient was breathing on his own without supplemental oxygen. No signs of drug or alcohol impairment were observed.
Authorities have not released additional information regarding the second vehicle or whether any other injuries occurred. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
