St. Francois Co, MO (January 30, 2026) – A pedestrian was injured on Thursday morning following a hit-and-run incident involving a motorcycle on Wortham Rd, just east of Stillman Rd, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Authorities report that the crash occurred around 11:40 a.m. as a 64-year-old man from Bonne Terre was outside of a tow truck when he was struck by an unknown enduro-style motorcycle traveling eastbound. The motorcycle rider fled the scene immediately after the collision and has not yet been identified.
The injured pedestrian sustained injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre for evaluation and treatment. He was reportedly exempt from using a safety device due to his status as a pedestrian.
The motorcycle sustained minor damage, though it was not recovered at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by Corporal K. D. Roney of Troop C, with assistance from Trooper T. E. McVeigh.
