Jackson, MO (January 30, 2026) – One person sustained injuries following a chain-reaction collision involving three eastbound vehicles along US Highway 50 near NW Pryor Rd on Thursday afternoon.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop A reported the accident occurred at approximately 3:57 p.m. in Jackson County. The incident began when a 2017 Nissan Rogue, driven by a 31-year-old man from Lee’s Summit, struck the rear of a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado. The force of that impact caused the Silverado to crash into the rear of a third vehicle, a 2018 Ford F-150.
Emergency personnel from Lee’s Summit Fire Department responded to the scene. The driver of the Nissan Rogue, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Med 1 to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
Both the Rogue and Silverado suffered total damage and were towed by Elite Tow, while the F-150 sustained extensive damage but was able to be driven from the scene. Authorities confirmed that all vehicles were traveling eastbound at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation, with assistance provided on-scene by Msgt. C.S. Kutzner and the Lee’s Summit Police Department.
Our thoughts are with the injured driver, and we wish him a swift recovery following this multi-vehicle collision.
