Metairie, LA (January 30, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a traffic collision with injuries near the Clearview Pkwy entrance to eastbound I-10 in Metairie early on January 29. The crash was reported around 5:27 a.m. and involved a black GMC Canyon.
According to dispatch audio, the vehicle was reportedly traveling south along Clearview before attempting to merge onto the interstate. The circumstances leading to the crash are still under investigation, but emergency units from Engine 158 and Engine 168 were dispatched to assist the injured and manage the scene.
The collision occurred in Zone 1601 and caused early morning delays in the area as responders worked to stabilize the situation and assess the driver. The severity of injuries has not yet been publicly disclosed.
Authorities have not confirmed if additional vehicles were involved or whether any citations have been issued in connection with the crash. OnStar systems played a role in alerting first responders, helping crews locate and reach the vehicle efficiently.
The investigation remains ongoing as officials review the contributing factors to the collision.
