Waterbury, CT (January 30, 2026) – Emergency crews responded early Wednesday morning to a reported crash with injuries at the intersection of Chase Ave and Hill St in Waterbury, involving a black Acura and a white box truck, according to dispatch audio from Waterbury Police and Fire.
The incident occurred around 8:08 a.m. on January 28, prompting the dispatch of Alpha Four units to the scene. Upon arrival, responders found both vehicles with visible damage and began evaluating individuals for injuries. Though full details are pending, initial reports indicated at least one person may have been hurt in the crash.
The crash, which took place during peak commuter hours, caused temporary traffic delays in the area as responders secured the scene, treated the injured, and worked to remove the vehicles. The Acura sustained front-end damage, while the box truck appeared to have sustained moderate impact as well.
