Sacramento, CA (January 31, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a traffic collision involving two vehicles Friday evening that resulted in injuries on Fruitridge Rd in South Sacramento.
The incident occurred around 6:08 p.m. on January 30. According to dispatch audio, deputies from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and area police units were called to the scene following reports of a crash involving injuries. A sergeant and additional units were also requested to assist.
Initial reports confirmed that one of the individuals involved, a female passenger, suffered injuries and required immediate medical attention. Paramedics were dispatched to the location to treat the injured party. The full extent of her injuries has not been disclosed, but she was reported to be conscious and in need of care.
Traffic in the area was affected as officers worked to investigate the crash and assist the victims. The cause of the collision has not yet been confirmed, and authorities are continuing to gather details from the scene.
